Feminist International Relations

Features: The book "Feminist International Relations" is about to be published. In my opinion, it marks a new milestone in Chinese feminist international relations research. If the main content of the previous period (post-Cold War to the early 21st century) was about exploring new frontiers, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, striving for discourse power, and breaking into the field of international relations, then the publication of this book marks the beginning of a new era where the pioneers of Chinese feminist international relations, relying on collective wisdom and strength, are working to promote their research findings to a broader audience in an accessible textbook format. This is a major capacity-building project in the second phase. Taking feminist international relations research as an example, based on my personal observations, the best feminist international relations scholars are not only concerned with the marginalized positions of certain vulnerable groups in global politics, nor just with general "equality" demands, but rather with raising profound questions about the traditional concept of power, challenging long-held "principles" that are considered self-evident, and boldly correcting long-established and rigid mindsets.
