Publish Date: 2006-11-01
Features: This book adopts a research method that combines theory and practice. Based on the relevant theories of institutional economics, development economics, and monetary finance, it conducts multi-angle empirical research on the institutional factors that constrain the development of rural commercial finance, policy finance, cooperative finance, and informal finance in China. At the same time, by introducing the evolutionary trajectories of representative countries in the construction and improvement of rural financial systems, it combines the experience of foreign rural financial development with China's rural financial reform, aiming to propose measures for further deepening China's rural financial reform from the perspective of institutional incentives and innovation. In terms of its framework, the book is divided into three parts, totaling seven chapters. Chapters 1, 2, and 3 form the first part, which, based on a review of the relevant theories of new institutional economics and financial development theory, explores the relationship between financial institutions and economic development, as well as the relationship between rural financial institutions and rural economic development, leading to the writing intention of this book: precisely because of the inseparable correlation between rural financial institutions and rural economic development, the author begins with financial institutions to discuss the issues of China's rural financial reform. Chapters 4 to 6 constitute the second part, which is the core of the book. The third part is the informal financial institutions in China's rural areas, which is Chapter 7.
