Features: The People's Republic of China Civil Service Law was officially implemented on January 1, 2006. Its promulgation and implementation marked a solid step forward in the standardization and legalization of China's civil service system. According to the newly enacted Civil Service Law, the recruitment of civil servants for positions at the level of Section Chief and below, as well as other non-leadership positions of equivalent rank, should adopt the method of open examinations, strict evaluations, equal competition, and selective admission. Civil service recruitment examinations have become the primary channel for the Chinese government to recruit talent from society. To enable candidates to efficiently, conveniently, and accurately grasp the essence of civil service examinations in a short period of time and help them enter the ranks of national civil servants ahead of others, our editorial team conducted an in-depth study of the 2007 national examination syllabus and actual test papers. Based on the new developments in civil service examinations, as well as a reference to and summary of research findings on past exams, we have comprehensively revised the Civil Service Recruitment Examination Specialized Textbook series. This series has the following distinctive features after revision:
1. Strong Collaboration of Industry Experts for Authority and Guidance
The editorial team of this series consists of experts from the Central Party School, the National School of Administration, the School of Government at Peking University, and the School of Public Administration at Renmin University of China. The team is highly reputable, with extensive experience in civil service examination research and a keen understanding of the exam trends.
2. Systematic and Scientific Writing Format
- Systematic: The textbook series includes sections such as question analysis, knowledge links, question type explanations, new question predictions, typical test paper analysis, common error analysis and guidance, and ability grading exercises. These sections are interconnected and progressively deeper, aligning with Chinese thinking and learning habits, enabling candidates to independently review and systematically master relevant knowledge while quickly capturing key exam points.
- Scientific: The supplementary materials cover classic and new question types, as well as current affairs and test papers, all accompanied by detailed explanations to help candidates solve review-related issues and achieve effective practice.
3. Comprehensive Knowledge Points with Emphasis on Key Areas
This series covers all knowledge points required for civil service examinations, offering a systematic and comprehensive approach without missing any scoring opportunities. Unlike other civil service textbooks that merely list knowledge points, this series provides detailed and well-structured content with clear emphasis on key areas. It strictly follows the 2007 syllabus requirements, eliminating irrelevant content and focusing on essential, frequently tested, and newly added question types and knowledge points. Additionally, it provides in-depth explanations and exercises for easily testable, easily mistaken, and difficult points, ensuring candidates are fully prepared for the exam.
4. Innovative and Forward-Looking Materials with Originality
Adhering to the principles of innovation and foresight, the series accurately analyzes and reflects the characteristics of the 2006 national civil service examination while making timely adjustments. The Administrative Aptitude Test and Essay Writing sections incorporate the new ideas and trends of the 2006 exam. The Administrative Aptitude Test includes new question types such as graphical coordinate reasoning and graphical reorganization introduced in 2006, as well as updates to other sections like language comprehension and expression, quantitative reasoning, and common knowledge judgment. The Essay Writing section features analyses and guidance on new theoretical hot topics such as the Xinfu incident, building a harmonious society, postal system reform, and the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, with new question formats such as increased reading volume for given materials and diversified question types. The series strictly adheres to originality, refusing to plagiarize.
5. Integrated Explanation and Practice with Practicality
This series maintains and deepens its consistent style of explanation and practice, emphasizing both theory and practice. The effort in this regard aims to achieve thorough and insightful explanations while providing practical and effective exercises. Targeted and practical is undoubtedly the series' greatest highlight. Additionally, the editorial team carefully selects and screens typical questions from a national general question bank, ensuring strong relevance. Each question is accompanied by detailed and unique explanations, allowing candidates not only to master the solution to a specific question but also to understand the approach to a question type, enabling them to grasp the "why" behind the "what" and continuously improve their abilities during the review process. Moreover, the editorial team adjusts the original textbook question types and materials based on the new trends in 2006 and makes corresponding eliminations and additions to the question settings, making the structure and difficulty of the textbook more reasonable.
6. Comprehensive and Three-Dimensional Synchronous Services
To repay the trust and support of candidates, we strive to provide the most complete after-sales service through accompanying learning software and online learning cards, offering all-round learning support. Readers can use the learning card to consult with exam-setting experts on the China Civil Service Examination Center website for any learning-related questions or engage in discussions with other candidates in the exam experience exchange section. During the writing process of this textbook, we received guidance from civil service examination setting experts from many provincial and municipal civil service examination centers. We sincerely express our gratitude to them!
