Features: This volume is the eleventh of the Commercial Law Colloquium and the second volume of 2006. Since the publication of the Colloquium, due to various reasons, the interval between each volume has been inconsistent. Starting this year, two volumes will be published annually. Generally, one volume is published in the first half of the year, and the other in the second half. Since the first volume was released, it has been customary to write a few words upon the completion of each volume, usually placed at the beginning, hence the title "Foreword to the Volume." Previously, the content of "Foreword to the Volume" generally included two aspects: First, it stated the purpose and principles of the Commercial Law Colloquium, such as "rooted in the development and improvement of Chinese commercial law, broadly drawing on and absorbing the development experience and case law and doctrines of foreign commercial law, tracking the trends of foreign commercial law, promoting research on commercial law topics, advancing the discipline construction of commercial law, and ultimately serving commercial legislation and judicial practice." Second, it introduced and promoted the sections and articles of the entire volume. The "Foreword to the Volume" of the previous ten volumes consistently followed this practice. Undoubtedly, repeating the same content multiple times would give the impression of stagnation. Starting with the eleventh volume, the cover design has been innovated. Taking this opportunity, some reforms to the Commercial Law Colloquium are also being considered. Although each volume of the Colloquium must adhere to the established purpose and principles, there is no need to repeat them in every issue. The sections and content are reflected within the Colloquium—once read, the articles of each section are fully imprinted in the reader's mind, eliminating the need for repeated introductions like a "shop assistant." So, should a few words still be written upon the completion of each volume's editing? I believe they should, but the content need not be as described above. Instead, it should consist of a few words that the editors genuinely wish to express. Undoubtedly, what is to be said each time need not be the same, and it can be long or short. In this sense, "Foreword to the Volume" can be changed to "Editorial Preface." The theme of this volume's "Editorial Preface" is: Current research on corporate law should emphasize the application of "hermeneutics."
