In modernization efforts, the demand for talent as a "resource" is even more urgent. In recent years, China has been increasing its investment in graduate education with unprecedented, because developing graduate education not only cultivates high-level academic research talents in fundamental science and high-tech fields, which are crucial for national development, but also trains applied and interdisciplinary talents for economic construction. Graduate English is a required course for graduate students as stipulated by the Ministry of Education, and is one of the important components of the graduate training program. In accordance with the "Provisional Implementation Measures of the Degree Regulations of the People's Republic of China," foreign languages are examination subjects for obtaining a master's degree, and foreign language proficiency is a key condition for awarding the degree.
