Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based education," forming a distinctive "holistic + specialized" approach to nurturing students. It has developed a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a reflection of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (command) of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, making it a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and fruitful teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," "Huanggang High School Intermediate Comprehensive Review," and "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Questions." The "Huanggang High School Exam Papers" are based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," emphasizing the role of "exams" in students' development of learning ability, problem-solving ability, and exam-taking ability, reflecting the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily training. The series also features the following characteristics: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: The exam papers in this series are divided into two sets, A and B, with increasing difficulty. In terms of question selection, they focus on consolidating and progressively improving key points, types, and methods related to the curriculum. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive, ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive exercises. 2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most secondary schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty level, with appropriate and clear requirements. 3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough solutions provided for difficult questions. It is worth mentioning that the timely and insightful hints sometimes play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the questions written by the authors, with rigorous review and proofreading to strive to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
