Features: As a book collector and engraver, Liu Chenggan's life has been etched into those rare and classic books and his Jiaye Book Collection. As a Chinese scholar, Liu Chenggan's soul has soared and settled in the history of 20th-century Chinese culture. In reality, Liu Chenggan is ordinary, solitary, and even somewhat outdated. He lacks heroic deeds worthy of song and tears, the fervor of a politician calling for action, the romance of a poet under flowers and moon, or the pride of scholars with a lifetime of publications. However, behind the appearances of book collecting and engraving, lies his deep care and love for culture. This book provides a panoramic view of the life of the book collector Liu Chenggan.
