In the first chapter, the author defines the connotation and characteristics of the pattern of international relations. In the second chapter, the author further analyzes the qualifications of the main players in the international strategic pattern, the elements of their power composition, and the assessment of their power. In the third chapter, the author examines the historical and theoretical models of the pattern of international relations. Starting from the fourth chapter, the analysis enters the practical part. In the fifth chapter of this book, the author summarizes the process of the evolution of Western strategic thought, proposes an analytical framework for the international environment, and provides a basic positioning of the international environmental conditions of the five major international strategic forces—America, Germany, Russia, Japan, and China. On this basis, the author further analyzes the main strategies of the five major international strategic forces in their foreign policies in the new century. The concluding chapter explores the practical possibility of a multipolar pattern emerging after the relatively short-lived "one superpower and many powers" pattern.
