Features: The study of sustainable modernization in Zhejiang requires theoretical clarification on two leading questions. The first question is: to predict the level of modernization, one must answer what modernization is. The second question is: to identify the factors that support or constrain modernization, one must answer what sustainability is. Regarding the potential process of modernization in Zhejiang before the middle of this century, a detailed research report (Report No. 1) has been formed through comprehensive and integrated forecasting and item-specific forecasting. Regarding the sustainability of the modernization process, relatively independent research reports have been produced by studying each component of the supporting system. In the end, a series of reports composed of multiple outcomes from the modernization process prediction and the sustainability argumentation of the prediction results has been generated. These will provide highly technologically advanced reference materials for government agencies, relevant departments, and academia.
