Features: The book is divided into three volumes. In 1987, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the full-scale War of Resistance against Japan, the Editorial Office of Historical Materials, the Research Office, and the Editorial Office of the journal "Minguo Dang'an" of the Second Historical Archives of China jointly compiled the special archive materials "The War of Resistance against Japan on the Frontline." Its main contents include: (1) the National Government's operational policies and plans against Japan; (2) the battle situations of major campaigns during the strategic defensive phase; (3) the battle situations of major campaigns during the strategic stalemate phase. However, due to the urgency of the time, only the historical materials of the Chinese Army's resistance against Japan on the frontline were compiled, and the operational materials of the Chinese Navy and Air Force's participation in the war were not included. In view of this, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the full-scale War of Resistance against Japan, the historical materials of the Chinese Navy's resistance against Japan were supplemented. The main contents include: the naval resistance against Japan, such as the blockade of the Jiangyin Fortress, the chronicle of the Guangdong Navy's resistance against Japan, the Yangtze River mine warfare, and the chronicle of the Chinese Navy's resistance against Japan, as well as the air resistance against Japan, including an overview of the air resistance against Japan, the process of joint anti-Japanese warfare between the Chinese-Soviet and Chinese-American air forces, and the battle situations of the air force during the Changde, Central Plains, Changsha, Hengyang, Guilin-Liuzhou, and West Hunan campaigns. This book has high reference value for studying the history of the Chinese military's operations against Japan and the history of joint anti-Japanese warfare between the Chinese-Soviet and Chinese-American armies.
