Features: Supported by six research fund projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Machinery Industry Technology Development Fund, and the Special Research Fund for Doctoral Programs under the Ministry of Education, the author has compiled this work based on multiple research achievements and integrated the latest international research findings in this field. Combining the interruption process of low-voltage circuit breakers, it comprehensively describes the physical characteristics of the switching arc in each stage, including the arc stagnation phenomenon at the initial interruption stage, the gas blow and magnetic blow during the arc movement process, the repulsion process of the moving contact, and the coordination of mechanism action. It also introduces new content such as the back-arc phenomenon after the arc enters the arc-quenching grid, analyzes the influence of various factors on these physical phenomena, and explores measures to improve the interruption performance of circuit breakers. While analyzing the basic physical characteristics of air-medium arcs, it proposes a new research and development method for low-voltage circuit breaker arc-quenching systems based on modern testing technology. This method takes an oscillating circuit as the power source and focuses on detachable arc-quenching structures as the research subjects. Using modern testing tools such as high-speed arc movement cameras and various sensors, it analyzes the macro and micro performance of different arc-quenching chamber structures. This approach is of great significance for accelerating the research and development speed of low-voltage electrical products and reducing development costs. This book serves as a reference for engineering technicians engaged in the design, manufacturing, testing, and operation of electrical equipment, as well as a teaching and research material for relevant professional courses in universities and postgraduate studies.
