Features: Adolescents always undergo transformation. Thinking, getting lost, and then growing—this process of transformation is reflected in all of Han Han's works. It is a sword forged over five years, a magnificent sword. The Triple Gate reflects student-style thinking, confusion, and dreams; Below Zero, continues to criticize the modern education system, harshly satirizing popular figures like Liu Yong and Qiong Yao, who are revered by middle school students; Racing with Youngsters, explores the attempt to turn dreams into reality after entering society, filled with disappointment and confusion but driven by relentless pursuit; Press Release 2003, offers an in-depth critique and reflection on education and self. Each work showcases his extraordinary creative thinking. This book collects the contents of five books by young author Han Han: The Triple Gate, Racing with Youngsters, Below Zero, and Press Release 2003, compiling his works from his five years of debut.
The Triple Gate: In this work, the author maintains humor throughout. Some of it is even dark. He is accustomed to humor; without it, his writing seems to lose its essence. Wisdom might also be a way for him to escape awkwardness. In this sense, it can sometimes be (negative), a form of self-mockery, self-consolation, or even a kind of Ah Qism. In real life, Han Han's use of wisdom might also be (negative), or perhaps not, but in The Triple Gate, it certainly is not.
Racing with Youngsters: This work immediately faced the impact of the publishing market and became wildly popular in cities like Chengdu, Chongqing, and Hefei. What caused this phenomenon? Was it Han Han's fame? Or his talent, which seems out of sync with his age? Perhaps we can find the answer in this novel.
Below Zero: The second work released by Han Han after The Triple Gate. Some say he has the extraordinary talent of writing "a thousand words in the blink of an eye," while others argue his work is still "just practice" and that he would be better off spending his time improving subjects he hasn’t mastered, which would be far more meaningful than writing another novel like The Triple Gate. In Han Han’s own words, "Wait, Han Han is coming, get out of the way!"
Press Release 2003: Focusing on campus and students, it explores 17 questions through "Han-style" satire, with sharp and incisive writing that is both biting enough to provoke reflection and utterly humorous. The magic of Han Han lies in his ability to stand out from the crowd. From this book, we see a different Han Han—one who is wiser, less (frivolous); more (calm and steady), and less rebellious.
