Features: I must reserve a space for my soul, a state of inner peace and leisure. Only by maintaining such an inner state can I truly savor the joy of the spirit while writing. My writing should also be my spiritual life, and the two must be one; otherwise, its value will be questioned. I have searched for myself, but I haven’t found it on the stage or in the audience. My place is not in the theater. No matter how lively the world is, it will only occupy a small part of it. Beyond the hustle and bustle lies an endless world, where my place lies—a quiet place. I have walked my own path. Success and failure, happiness and suffering have all become secondary. The most important thing is the path itself. A man truly needs only nature and a woman. Everything else, such as fame, is a luxury. I am unwilling to trade a smile on a lazy face for the fame of generations to come. When we call a member of the opposite sex a lover, it is our passion that calls. When we call a member of the opposite sex a family member, it is our entire life experience that calls. I may inevitably write about things that will be overturned by history, but I will never write about things that will be mocked by history.
