Features: In recent years, there have been numerous publications of lyric anthologies and selected collections of lyrics from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Among these, there are variations in the original texts. This book adopts the commonly used versions, selecting from multiple sources and choosing the best, without providing explanations for textual differences. The annotations in the book are designed to be accessible, avoiding complex textual research to suit the needs of general readers. For the allusions found in the works, apart from indicating their sources, only concise interpretations are provided, with some directly explained in modern Chinese for clarity. The book includes 120 poets from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, with 200 lyric poems. It is difficult to fully reflect the landscape of lyric poetry over seven hundred years, but the selection of lyric poets and their works has considered factors such as style and school, striving to include representative, readable works that reflect the era's characteristics and possess artistic excellence. This approach may offer a glimpse of the bigger picture, allowing readers to appreciate the significant achievements and high aesthetic and cognitive value of lyric poetry from these three dynasties.
