Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-09-01
Features: Based on the principles of language learning, the success in language learning is built upon a large amount of language input, especially a significant foundation of extensive reading. If a foreign language learner is solely obsessed with rote memorization of words and rigidly memorizing grammar rules to pass exams, his success will remain out of reach. He will also fail to experience the joy of reading. Only through extensive reading can he appreciate the cultural connotations carried by the language; and only by appreciating the exotic insights, cultural traditions, social thoughts, and economic backgrounds it presents can he truly understand and master the language. This is the purpose of compiling this series of books.
