Features: The purpose of compiling this book is to reflect the main characteristics of the four-year secondary nursing program teaching plan, namely "emphasizing nursing, focusing on the whole, strengthening humanities, and reflecting the community." The transformation of the medical model has changed the nursing recipients, thus requiring further optimization of the intellectual structure of nursing students. To improve students' interpersonal communication skills in nursing practice and cultivate a positive communication attitude, we have paid attention to the integration of humanities theory and nursing theory in the selection of teaching content. We have strengthened interpersonal communication in nursing contexts, striving to make the textbook content reflect scientificity, systematicity, advanced concepts, and the "patient-centered" holistic nursing perspective. The book is divided into six chapters, including an introduction to interpersonal communication, relationship communication in nursing work, nonverbal communication, verbal communication—conversation, verbal communication—speech, and silent language communication. In line with the professional characteristics, typical examples have been selected, and role-playing scenarios have been designed to help students master and understand the essence of interpersonal communication knowledge through practical exercises. After each chapter, there are discussion questions to facilitate students' self-study and review. At the end of the book, a teaching syllabus for the four-year secondary nursing program on "Interpersonal Communication" is attached for reference by teachers and students.
