Features: Lady Chatterley's Lover is Lawrence's last novel. At this point, Lawrence had already reached perfection in his portrayal of characters and plot, and had also arrived at more thoughtful answers to the gender relationships he explored. The inspiration for Lady Chatterley's Lover came from a real story. The book tells the story of Charles Chatterley, who returns from the battlefield after World War I. In the war, he was injured, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair for life.
