Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + special talents." It has explored a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a reflection of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (command baton) of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, making it a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers diving into the sea of problems but strongly advocates students stepping out of it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review," as well as "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Questions."
The "Huanggang High School Exam Papers" are based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," emphasizing the role of "exams" in students' development of learning ability, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking ability. They reflect the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice. The series is characterized by the following features:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: The series focuses on reinforcing and gradually improving the knowledge points, related exam topics, question types, and methods through ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive progressive exercises, helping students elevate their problem-solving skills to a new level.
2. Moderate Difficulty Gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and advanced questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most secondary schools. Most questions are labeled with difficulty levels (A, B, or C) in advance, ensuring clarity and appropriateness.
3. Detailed Solution Hints: The answers at the back of the book are well-balanced, with more detailed explanations provided for difficult questions. It is worth mentioning that the insightful hints offered at the right moments often play a pivotal role.
The series emphasizes the originality and quality of the questions written by the authors, with rigorous review and proofreading processes to ensure it becomes a standout in the educational supplement market.
