Features: The Tiansheng Ling in the collection of Tianyi Pavilion is a Ming Dynasty Uge manuscript, consisting of ten volumes. Although it is a fragmented copy, it records the lost Tang Dynasty "Ling" and Song Dynasty "Ling," with many legal provisions that are not documented in existing historical records. Some provisions are even more complete than those recorded in current historical texts. From preliminary organization, the fragmented volumes of the Tiansheng Ling contain 289 provisions, of which 222 are related to the Tang Dynasty "Ling." As the only extant "Ling" from the Tang and Song dynasties, the Tiansheng Ling holds immense academic significance for studying the compilation conventions and forms of historical "Ling", as well as the status and role of the "Ling". It will also have a profound impact on the study of Chinese legal history and the formation of ancient Japanese codes and regulations.
