Features: To objectively test the Japanese proficiency of individuals with equivalent academic qualifications and ensure the quality of degree awards, in accordance with the "Regulations of the State Council Academic Degrees Commission on Granting Master's and Doctoral Degrees to Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications" (adopted at the 16th meeting of the State Council Academic Degrees Commission on June 18, 1998) and the "Notice of the Office of the State Council Academic Degrees Commission on the Unified Foreign Language Proficiency Examination for Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications Applying for Master's Degrees" issued in 1994, starting from September 1, 1995, individuals with equivalent academic qualifications applying for master's degrees must obtain the corresponding "Certificate of Qualification for the National Unified Foreign Language Proficiency Examination" as a prerequisite for obtaining their master's degree. The Foreign Language Proficiency Examination aims to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of the award of master's degrees to individuals with equivalent academic qualifications by the state, and is an important part of the national examination for assessing the foreign language proficiency of individuals with equivalent academic qualifications applying for master's degrees. In 1998, we organized relevant experts to compile and publish the "National Unified Examination Syllabus for Japanese Proficiency of Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications Applying for Master's Degrees." Based on the summary of experience, we organized relevant experts to revise it three times successively in 1999, 2001, and 2003, resulting in the fourth edition in 2003. Over the past two years, based on the suggestions of a large number of candidates and relevant experts, and summarizing the experience of the unified examination, we organized experts from relevant aspects to revise this book for the fourth time. The revised syllabus (fifth edition) will serve as the basis for the unified examination questions for the Japanese proficiency examination for individuals with equivalent academic qualifications applying for master's degrees in the coming years, as a reference for universities and colleges in related teaching and tutoring, and can also be used as a reference material for candidates to review and prepare for the exam.
