Features: "You should know that Ming Sister is living with Mu Brother. If Ming Sister gains a bunch of extra fat from this meal, her figure gets distorted, and Mu Brother doesn’t like her anymore, what will you do? You’ll only make Ming Sister suffer, won’t you?!"
"Song Haosnow!" Ming Xiaoxi grabbed her neck with one hand.
"Help me!" Song Haosnow screamed for help, looking utterly innocent.
"I see," Dong Shuimei believed her. "Xiaoxi, don’t worry. After the meal, I’ve arranged a dance party. As long as you exercise more, fat will never appear."
The dance party had a very romantic atmosphere. Dong Mama turned off all the lights, leaving only the twinkling starlight on the Christmas tree as the sole source of illumination. The music playing in the background was also incredibly tender, stirring up Ming Xiaoxi’s gentlest cells.
Ming Xiaoxi’s first dance was with Mu Liubing.
Leaning gently against Mu Liubing’s chest, feeling his breath on her forehead, softly blowing through her fine hair, Ming Xiaoxi was moved to the point of tears.
Mu Liubing sensed her strangeness. "What’s wrong?"
"I feel so happy," Ming Xiaoxi whispered, looking at him as if sighing.
He held her tighter.
"Do you remember the first time I saw you? I thought someone had bullied you," Ming Xiaoxi recalled with a laugh. "Back then, you were so cold to me."
"I never thought we’d end up together. Fate is truly magical. I can’t even explain why, but I just… I’m so happy to see you now."
"Can we always be together?" Ming Xiaoxi suddenly grew worried. "Can I always be this happy?"
Mu Liubing’s crystal-clear eyes stared at her. "Yes."
"Really?" Ming Xiaoxi’s cheeks flushed like peach blossoms.
"Really." He slowly kissed her forehead. Her petal-like lips were as soft as feathers, so light, so gentle, making every nerve in Ming Xiaoxi’s heart tremble violently.
He and she forgot everyone around them, spinning endlessly, lost in the melody that belonged to them.
Ming Xiaoxi’s second dance was with Dong Haonan.
Her emotions still lingered from the previous moment, so she danced with an unusual gentleness.
Dong Haonan was silent for a long while before speaking. "You really like Liubing?"
"What?" Ming Xiaoxi was startled. "Dong Senior, what did you say?"
"You heard me." His lips were stubbornly pursed.
She murmured, "Dong Senior, this is beyond your concern."
His hand holding her waist tightened suddenly, causing Ming Xiaoxi to almost cry out in pain. However, she quickly retaliated—her shoe stomped hard on his foot!
Dong Haonan winced in pain. "Ming Xiaoxi, you—"
Ming Xiaoxi raised her delicate brows, putting on a "what can you do to me?" expression.
Dong Haonan gritted his teeth but still danced gracefully to the end.
Ming Xiaoxi’s third dance was with Feng Jianche. (It’s easy to understand why, because his first dance was "naturally" taken over by Dong Haosnow, and his second dance was given to Tong.)
For some reason, Ming Xiaoxi always felt especially relaxed and at ease beside Feng Jianche. She kept smiling.
"You’re so happy?" Feng Jianche asked softly.
"Yes! I got to see Senior Feng again!" Ming Xiaoxi looked at him joyfully. "I even got to dance with him!"
"You little girl, why do you sound more and more like Haosnow?" Feng Jianche chuckled.
"Is that so?" Ming Xiaoxi tilted her head. "It is a bit. But Senior is just too charming! Seeing you always makes me so happy! Senior, I haven’t seen you in a long time. I really miss you!"
"Why didn’t you come find me then?"
"I wasn’t lying to you!" Ming Xiaoxi insisted. "If I had time, I would have definitely looked for you! Senior, you believe me!"
Feng Jianche gently held her hand. "You’re such a silly girl. Of course, I believe you."
His trust made her heart soar. "Senior, you’re really the best person in the world."
Feng Jianche smiled. "Better than Liubing?"
Ming Xiaoxi nodded without hesitation. "Yes. I love Liubing so, so much. But Senior, you’re like a god—perfect in every way."
"You’re such a silly girl," Feng Jianche held her tighter, holding his breath.
As soon as the third dance ended, Dong Haosnow suddenly appeared. "Ming Sister, I have something to tell you."
In a quiet corner of the hall, Ming Xiaoxi tried hard to understand what Dong Haosnow meant.
"Ming Sister, have you seen My Little Princess?"
"That manga?"
"That’s right. Do you remember how Qinzi and Ren Jiang fell in love?"
"" Ming Xiaoxi looked confused.
"Because Ren Jiang accidentally kissed Qinzi, and they fell in love."
"" That’s how it is? But she still didn’t understand what Haosnow meant.
"Ugh, let me give you another example! Ming Sister, you should have seen Love in Disguise, right?"
"I have."
"How did Dou Mingji fall in love with Shun’ai?"
