It is also a valuable record of a disappearing way of life. When you see the way of life of ancient tribes or communities coming to an end after thousands of years, you can't help but shed tears. —Time Magazine In modern life, our days are rarely filled with adventure and legend. Let Aiden's Honey and Dust show us how to elegantly escape the city and seek the truth of life in the beautiful embrace of nature. —The Sunday Times Aiden is a genius writer, so keenly observant of landscapes, hope, crowds, and food. —The Observer This is a spiritual journey that combines gourmet delights, adventure, and healing the soul. Author Aiden embarked on a unique journey to find the most perfect honey after a severe car accident in his youth, seeking rebirth in the sweet fragrance deep within nature to overcome his inner depression. Aiden's footsteps took him to world-famous beekeeping locations, where he savored the unparalleled deliciousness of Lebanese pistachio honey cakes, witnessed the mystery of Syrian clay cylinder beekeeping, observed the bravery of the ancient Gurung people in Nepal scaling cliffs to find wild honey, and felt the wisdom of the Vedda people in Sri Lanka searching for honey in the wild jungle. He encountered honey time and again, gradually embracing the primitive life. This is also a heart-wrenching journey. Bee mites have caused mass deaths in bee populations, modern industrial development has made it difficult for bees to collect nectar, and ancient honey-hunting methods are on the brink of extinction. All this shows that in our pursuit of modernization, we have gradually distanced ourselves from the authentic life. Honey and Dust is also a journey of the author's physical and mental recovery, as well as his re-discovery of his place in the world. It is profound in thought and keen in insight.
