Features: Many experts and scholars in China's forestry economy field have conducted in-depth research on forestry management. The research primarily focuses on three aspects: forestry management philosophy, forestry management theory, and forestry management forms. Forestry management philosophy is the foundation for the formation of forestry management theory, while forestry management theory serves as a guide for forestry production practice, holding significant guiding significance for forestry management behavior. Forestry management forms are the specific organizational forms of forestry production and operation activities. Among these, the discussion has been more extensive on shareholding cooperative management forms, shareholding management forms, and family management forms. Currently, research on emerging management forms and innovative management forms is also increasing. The features of this textbook are reflected in the following aspects.
First, in line with the principles of highlighting contemporary issues and China, a systematic review of major historical and contemporary events related to agricultural and forestry economic management has been conducted, along with a relatively accurate summary of the basic trends of related issues. Second, in accordance with the principle of historical and logical unity, the basic theories and methods of agricultural and forestry economic management have been introduced in a relatively comprehensive manner. Third, in line with the principles of inherent logic and general consensus, the main research conclusions of major forestry economic issues have been presented. Fourth, shortcomings in current research directions and issues worthy of further attention have been identified.
From a detailed perspective, this textbook also has some shortcomings. For example, the logical systems of chapters are not entirely consistent, some content is redundant, and some of the cited literature is not classic. These are areas that can be improved.
