Features: Based on the teaching requirements issued by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this book highlights the key points, difficulties, and ambiguities of the four classical works and proposes clear learning objectives. The interpretation of the classical texts mainly includes the following aspects: First, "Original Text Study," which organizes similar original texts into categories for parallel explanation, providing both colloquial translations and original text elaboration; second, "Original Text Analysis," which analyzes the original texts from perspectives such as major pulse and symptoms, pathogenesis, treatment methods, principal formulas, analysis of principal formulas, precautions, and comparative differentiation, to grasp the essence; third, "Clinical Application," which proposes key points for the application of principal formulas, lists typical medical cases, and aims to illustrate broader applications. The book also includes a formula index and related knowledge at the end.
The authors use plain and straightforward language, along with concise diagrams and tables, to interpret the difficult classical works into a popular and accessible read with highlighted key points, clear organization, and ease of learning. This book reflects the characteristics of being concise, essential, and clinically practical. It serves as both a popular study guide for classical works and a practical reference tool, suitable for self-study by TCM practitioners and for training in classical works learning programs at higher education institutions.
This book is a compilation of the long-term clinical experiences of 59 contemporary and modern TCM masters from Sichuan, organized, collected, and compiled by the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. For each master, it includes a brief biography and insights into the application of classical formulas. The biographies provide basic information, insights into learning medicine, and an introduction to their medical achievements. The insights into the application of classical formulas are divided into two parts: first, the "philosophy of formula application," which is a theoretical summary of the masters' experiences in using classical formulas; second, "case studies," which serve as evidence for the philosophy of formula application.
This book not only holds high collectible value but also provides strong guidance for clinical practice and career planning for all TCM practitioners. It is suitable for reading and reference by a broad range of TCM professionals and students.
