It's hard to imagine such work coming from an untrained hand. It combines both the innocence of childhood and the realism of life. It is a magical form of expressive art, yet it also contains elements of realistic representation. A stroke of genius! At the age of eight, Meng Meng won the Shanghai Guinness "Young Student with the Most Character Portraits" award. If it weren't for witnessing Meng Meng painting firsthand, I wouldn't have believed these works could come from the hands of an eight-year-old child.
