Features: "The Line Drawings of Xinjiang Grotto Art" is the culmination of many years of my effort, and I am overjoyed that it is finally completed. This collection showcases the murals from several major grottoes in Xinjiang, presented to the readers in a white-line drawing style, adhering strictly to the original appearance of the murals. It is worth mentioning that I have also copied a large number of murals that were lost overseas and included them in this book. As a result, this work possesses the characteristics of originality, authenticity, and completeness, making it highly valuable for collection and academic research. If this book can provide useful information to readers interested in Xinjiang grotto art, I would feel deeply honored. During the process of compiling "The Line Drawings of Xinjiang Grotto Art," I also received guidance from Professor Su Bai of Peking University and Professor Li Anning of Xinjiang Art College. "The Line Drawings of Xinjiang Grotto Art" is another achievement of the author's years of dedicated research. In the tough times without electricity, roads, or communication, he spent almost his entire day in the caves "dialoguing with the Buddha," copying murals, meditating, and recording, tirelessly and with a fervent passion, striving to grasp the essence of Buddhist art. The murals he copied not only resemble the originals in form but are also renowned for their spiritual resemblance. He does not pursue external splendor but delves deeply into the meticulous study of the inner "soul," trying to understand the spirit of the "great painters" of the past who depicted the Buddha.
