Features: The current state of China's construction industry has a distinctive characteristic: so-called architects build a bunch of low-technology houses that, when put together, have a slight artistic aesthetic. Both the interior and exterior parts are poorly executed, handed over to the next design process. This process often forces many decoration companies to engage in extensive "battle of designs" to compete for projects. As a result, the "interior designers" in decoration companies suffer greatly, working overtime to "redesign" the houses as if dressing them up again. They not only design the interior but also need to redesign the relationship between the exterior and the surrounding environment—a process that is extremely painful. Project leaders in decoration companies are also unhappy because they have to bear the investment risks, with uncertain outcomes. Responsible owners are not too happy either, as they believe the design plans from many decoration companies are not thorough or comprehensive enough, and the designers' quality does not meet the standards. Additionally, if only one out of ten bidders wins, the other nine design teams that lose will be criticized, while the winning bidder will also be criticized for struggling to coordinate and balance non-technical factors—this situation is common in "commercial decoration" companies. In "residential decoration" companies, it's even worse. The more places that shout slogans like "free design," the more complaints there are about designers.
