Features: With the rise of the World Heritage trend at the end of the 20th century and the launch of China's national intangible cultural heritage protection project in recent years, cultural and natural heritage has begun to attract increasing attention. However, what exactly is cultural heritage? Why should cultural heritage be protected? How should cultural heritage be protected? What are the international conventions? What are the experiences and lessons learned? We indeed know very little. For this reason, we have compiled a series of books titled "Cultural Heritage Studies" to address the various issues arising in the process of cultural heritage protection from an academic perspective. At the same time, we also aim to propose our theoretical reflections on the establishment of cultural heritage studies in China. We hope that this series of books can provide theoretical assistance and practical support to colleagues participating in cultural and natural heritage protection projects.
