Features: Stepping into the new century, we welcome our second spring. Across the land, orioles fly and grasses grow lushly; green mountains stand verdant, and clear waters flow endlessly. Looking across the vast nation, all construction advances by leaps and bounds, and the appearances of both urban and rural areas are. When the nation thrives, culture flourishes. Although there are still sandstorms polluting the natural environment and various shortcomings in society, living in this new century, people feel a sense of joy and prosperity when comparing horizontally or vertically. Whenever there is a feeling, it must be expressed; whenever there is something to say, it must be spoken; whenever there is emotion, it must be shared. Among various literary forms, free-flowing and unbound prose and essays emerge and flourish in response to the times. In every field, it is like lush grass. However, compared to the prosperity of prose creation, the various media are far from adequate. The number of literary journals is limited, and ordinary works struggle to break through the "threshold"; newspaper supplements give prose very little space; online publications, due to current limitations, do not attract many readers; and those adapted for screens are even rarer. As a result, many prose works remain hidden and unknown, failing to reach readers. This not only loses their social value but also prevents authors from engaging in dialogue with readers, directly impacting their creative spirits. Chengdu Times Publishing House's planning and organization of the "Grassland Series" have given the fruits of years of hard work by prose authors a chance to be published. Of course, not all the authors in this series are famous, and not all their works are masterpieces. However, from various levels and perspectives, they present life and reflect on existence, allowing people to smell the fragrance of unpolluted grass and earth and feel the refreshing breeze. This also expands the audience for prose to a new group of readers. It is hoped that the series will continue to be meticulously organized, constantly improve the quality of its works, and build a strong brand. This will attract more writers and outstanding works to the "Grassland." Perhaps in the future, stars of prose will rise from here.
