Features: The primary intention behind writing this book is to provide a practical clinical reference for neurosurgeons in grassroots hospitals, facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of neurosurgical patients, especially those with critical cases. Over the past two to three decades, neurosurgery in China has made significant progress, particularly with the widespread adoption of microsurgical concepts. Many local hospitals have independently developed microsurgical neurosurgery capabilities and established relatively comprehensive neurosurgical intensive care and treatment systems, laying a solid foundation for the correct and timely rescue of critically ill patients with cranial operations, thereby avoiding the unnecessary harm previously caused by long-distance transfers. At the same time, minimally invasive surgeries, represented by keyhole surgery and endoscopic techniques, have become increasingly popular, and neurocritical care units have gradually become an indispensable treatment component in neurosurgery. Based on the current development of neurosurgery in China, the authors have elaborated in detail in this book on some of the common clinical scenarios encountered in grassroots hospitals, such as the management of cranial operations, common intracranial tumors, and subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by aneurysmal rupture. Additionally, some new technologies and advancements in neurosurgery are also mentioned. We have strived to condense the content, aiming to create a concise, practical, and comprehensive desk reference.
