Publish Date: 2003-08-01
Features: This book is divided into 19 chapters, with 10 chapters on general theory and 9 chapters on specific topics. The main revisions are as follows:
① Updated the content of each chapter, especially the introduction, basic concepts of toxicology, mechanisms of toxic action of exogenous chemicals, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, etc.;
② Merged some chapters, such as combining the biotransport of chemical toxins in the body and the biotransformation of chemical toxins into one chapter;
③ Adjusted certain chapters, such as expanding and revising the reproductive toxicity of chemical toxins into two chapters: developmental toxicity and teratogenicity, and reproductive toxicology, while adjusting the chapters on hazard assessment of chemical toxins and China's toxicological safety assessment procedures to management toxicology;
④ Emphasized the importance of target organ toxicology and added 9 chapters on specific toxicology;
⑤ Added a list of main reference books at the end of the book for readers to consult.
Additionally, to further deepen educational and teaching reforms and reduce the uniformity and verification-oriented experiments of "one school, one face," the book has removed the practical content of the third edition and attempted to newly compile the first edition of Experimental Methods and Techniques in Toxicology, aiming to further consolidate and expand students' foundational theoretical and practical skills.
