Features: This book offers a fresh perspective and innovative methods, making breakthroughs in both theory and empirical research. Theoretically, financial geography differs from traditional finance and financial studies, as its research focuses on the differences in time and space within the financial field, representing a synthesis of macro and micro perspectives. This book represents the author's bold attempt, as stated in the text: "A person who delves beneath the surface of things, even if they are mistaken, clears the path for others." It is believed that this book will provide reference and experience for subsequent research. Of course, the study of financial geography has just begun, and applying its concepts to analyze financial issues in China is even shorter in time. Although this book is a good starting point, it requires further in-depth research to develop the unique methodology of financial geography and apply it to the analysis of financial issues in China. May the author continue to strive on the path of "seeking truth and innovation," never giving up, and achieving more academic achievements!
This book employs the theories and methods of financial geography to conduct an in-depth analysis and discussion of regional financial growth disparities in China. The core concepts of financial geography—spatial differences, spatial processes, and spatial interactions—are woven throughout the text, providing a geographical interpretation of regional financial growth. The book explores the distinctions and connections between financial geography and regional finance, conducting an empirical comparative study of the development of the financial industry in different regions of China. It employs a fuzzy curve analysis method to design a comprehensive regional financial measurement index system that incorporates natural geography, social, economic, and financial factors, addressing the current shortcomings in quantitative research on regional finance and offering new explanations for many issues, while also signaling new paths for further research in the academic community.
This book establishes a spatial distribution pattern model of China's financial comprehensive competitiveness and proposes the author's views on establishing financial centers using the theory of information hinterland. In applying the "self-organization" theory to case studies, it puts forward a financial rise strategy for the central region and provides policy recommendations for regional financial growth in China, advocating the transformation of hetero-organization to self-organization, moderate gaps in financial development, coordinated development, promoting symbiosis, and systemic optimization.
