Features: Instrumental teaching is an aesthetic phenomenon and a fundamental course for cultivating and developing students' musical literacy. It is "a bridge to a better musical experience" (as stated by American music education psychologist James Mursell). This series of books is compiled with the purpose of nurturing readers' musical literacy. This book is part of the erhu learning series, hoping to provide some help and reference for amateur erhu teaching teachers and students. Nowadays, whether it is establishing children's music schools, offering music short-term training classes, or organizing instrumental examination activities, or private teaching, economic benefits are often given more consideration than talent cultivation. Some institutions and teachers are very active in charging fees but cannot provide teaching environments and quality commensurate with them. Some even resort to deceptive practices. Over the years, we often hear such complaints: some teachers collect students' tuition fees for half a year and then disappear; some teachers charge high fees but often rush through each lesson in just 20 minutes; some institutions and teachers lack professional teaching capabilities but boast and overpromise, luring students into their traps. Such cases are numerous. All of these have severely damaged the reputation and environment of children's instrumental learning, making many parents reluctant to participate. Interest is a powerful driving force behind various musical activities and an important prerequisite for improving music education. Instrumental learning is a gradual process that progresses from simple to complex, from easy to difficult, and from shallow to deep. At different learning stages, different emphases must be placed on students to enable them to gradually internalize and absorb various playing techniques. In teaching, it is not advisable to impose too many requirements on students at once, as this hasty approach can lead them to forget or fail to achieve the goals, resulting in a loss of confidence and interest in learning, as well as frustration, fear, and aversion. Therefore, we need a comprehensive instrumental teaching plan to ensure a proper balance in the pace and rhythm of instrumental learning. This series of books is created with such a purpose in mind.
