Features: Shanxi, China, is named after its location west of the North China Plain Mountains. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to the State of Jin, hence the abbreviation "Jin." Shanxi has a long history and is known as one of the cradles of ancient Chinese civilization, with the saying "Five thousand years of China can be seen in Shanxi." It has more than 31,400 verified cultural relics and historical sites, accounting for over half of the country's above-ground cultural heritage. These magnificent sites provide a place for modern people to explore ancient history, reflect on cultural heritage, and express their deep connection to the Yellow River civilization. Reading history inspires imagination, while viewing history evokes tenderness. The cultural and geographical landscape of Jin, of course, cannot be fully captured in this collection. Through the eyes of a journalist and with a realistic mindset, I have portrayed the historical evolution, cultural essence, and folk customs of the ancient city and courtyards of Jinzhong, presenting them to readers as a spark to ignite their interest in the charm of rural China. During the filming in Jinzhong, the locals also recommended some famous attractions to me, including the newly developed 3,000-year-old Yuci Ancient City, the residence of the historical figure Kong Xiangxi, the meteorite stored in the Lingshi Pavilion, and the Zishou Temple, which houses the eighteen Luoba returned from overseas. I have included all of these in this collection.
