Features: This standard was developed based on the task assigned by the Power Department of the former State Economic and Trade Commission in the "Notice on Issuing the 2002 Annual Plan for the Formulation and Revision of Power Industry Standards" (No. Guojingjiao Dianli [2002] 973). The revision work was based on the original "Technical Specifications for the Design of DC Systems in Thermal Power Plants and Substations" (DL/T 5044--1995), issued and implemented by the former State Power Industry Ministry (No. Dianji [1995] 506), and also referred to the "Code for the Design of DC Systems in Small Power Engineering" (DL/T 5120～2000), approved and implemented by the State Economic and Trade Commission of the People's Republic of China (No. Guojingjiao Dianli [2000] 1048). In accordance with the application of new standards, new technologies, new components, and new devices at home and abroad, the following content has been added:
- Expanded scope of application;
- Valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries;
- High-frequency switching power supply units;
- DC circuit breakers.
After implementation, this standard replaces DL/T 5044--1995. This standard includes the main content of the "Code for the Design of DC Systems in Small Power Engineering" (DL/T 5120--2000). During the transitional period when both standards are in effect, in case of inconsistencies, this standard takes precedence. Appendices A to G of this standard are informative appendices, while Appendix H is a normative appendix.
This standard was proposed by the China Electric Power Enterprise Association. The China Electric Power Industry Power Planning and Design Standardization Technical Committee is responsible for its administration and interpretation. The drafting units of this standard are: State Power North China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. and Henan Electric Power Survey and Design Institute. The main drafters of this standard are: Liu Baizhen, Sheng Hele, Chen Gong, Yu Chonggan, Bai Zhongmin, Zhuo Leyou, Wu Juye, Gao Huimin, and Dai Min.
