Features: According to the compilation plan of the Ministry of Water Resources' national water industry standards, the revision of SL07—1989 "Instantaneous Suspended Sediment Sampler" and SL08—1989 "Time-Integrated Suspended Sediment Sampler" was carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T1.1—2000 "Guidelines for Standardization—Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standards," and the standard name was changed to "Suspended Sediment Sampler." Compared with the original SL07—1989 "Instantaneous Suspended Sediment Sampler" and SL08—1989 "Time-Integrated Suspended Sediment Sampler," the main changes are as follows:
—Added relevant terms and definitions related to suspended sediment samplers;
—Added content related to bottle-type suspended sediment samplers;
—Added content related to electric instantaneous suspended sediment samplers;
—Added requirements for the use environment, safety, and structure;
—Added requirements for the material of product manufacturing;
—Supplemented requirements related to marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and user manuals;
—Deleted the relevant content on instrument installation and use in the original standard;
—Further clarified the import velocity coefficient ratio measurement method and calculation formula, and made it consistent with GB5019—1992.
