Features: The "Practical Dictionary for Primary School Science" is adapted from the "New Edition Practical Dictionary for Primary School Natural Words." In the "Outline for the Reform of Basic Education Curriculum (Trial)" released by the Ministry of Education in 2001, the original "Natural" course for primary schools was renamed "Science," with adjustments made to its content and requirements. Based on the new "Curriculum Standards" for primary schools and referring to some new edition primary school "Science" course textbooks, we compiled this "Practical Dictionary for Primary School Science" on the foundation of the original "New Edition Practical Dictionary for Primary School Natural Words." The "Science" course is a compulsory subject for primary school students in grades three to six. In this course, students will learn about various aspects of natural science, including biology, physiology, astronomy, geography, physics, and chemistry. The breadth of knowledge covered in this course is unmatched by any other subject. Of course, it not only imparts scientific knowledge to students but also teaches them scientific research methods, the spirit of scientific inquiry, and more. Science is not mysterious; science requires exploration. During the exploration process, students inevitably encounter unfamiliar terms, and this "Practical Dictionary for Primary School Science" can serve as a helpful companion for their studies. Words with unclear meanings in textbooks or scientific terms in extracurricular books can all be found answers in this small dictionary. Developing the habit of consulting reference books from a young age will benefit lifelong learning immensely.
