Features: As a "Upgrading from College to University" textbook, our focus is on good continuity with college textbooks, highlighting key points with innovation. We strive for fresh content: Based on drawing from the strengths of others, we research and collect new materials, drawing applicable content from similar textbooks domestically and internationally; gather essential content from advancements, monographs, and professional publications in our discipline; and make full use of accumulated materials from teaching and research to strive for new content, new methods, and new information. Examples include clinical pathways and evidence-based nursing, providing students with a fresh mindset and broad thinking space. We strive for a new structure: Breaking the traditional model of subject-based writing, we categorize and integrate content with common characteristics across disciplines, allowing for cross-cutting and permeation. For example, topics like organ transplantation and nursing, minimally invasive technology applications and nursing, and microsurgery technology and nursing do not appear in separate chapters to avoid unnecessary repetition; we present the latest theories, technologies, and information in our discipline in an overview format to students, supplemented by illustrative content. For instance, we highlight neonatal cardiac postoperative nursing in the context of infant heart diseases. For common and frequently occurring diseases, we adhere to the principle of starting from a specialty foundation and meeting undergraduate standards. Detailed content covered in college is not repeated, while key content such as the management of increased intracranial pressure and acute abdomen is elaborated on from different perspectives in relevant chapters, with varying emphases to truly reflect the characteristics of an "Upgrading from College to University" textbook. We strive to adopt an holistic nursing orientation: Adhering to a patient-centered nursing philosophy, we structure the content around the nursing process framework, covering nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing goals, nursing interventions, and health education. We strive for continuous improvement: The book is divided into 27 chapters, with careful selection of theoretical knowledge, ensuring reliability, applicability, and thought-provoking aspects for students. From both content and form, the book is designed to be readable and practical.
