Features: This book is a national secondary medical education planning textbook organized and compiled by the Teaching Material Office of the Ministry of Health, intended for use by four-year nursing programs. The writing principles of this book are "highlighting objectives, aligning with the syllabus, embodying five qualities, and emphasizing three basics." The "five qualities" refer to ideological nature, scientific rigor, advanced concepts, inspirational value, and applicability. The "three basics" encompass fundamental theoretical knowledge, basic practical skills, and basic thinking methods. It strives to "emphasize nursing, focus on holism, strengthen humanities, and reflect community involvement," making it suitable for national conditions and aligned with secondary-level nursing education. The book is divided into three parts: Ophthalmic Nursing, Otolaryngology Nursing, and Dental Nursing. Each part includes separate chapters on nursing anatomy and physiology, as well as nursing examinations. The nursing care for patients in each discipline cannot be written for every individual disease; some content must be organized by category, such as conjunctival diseases, nasal inflammation, and oral and maxillofacial injuries. To reduce redundancy in the entire textbook, content such as ward nursing and operating room nursing has been omitted, as they are already covered in Fundamentals of Nursing and Surgical Nursing. Health care content is also not written separately but is distributed among the various diseases, better reflecting the holistic nature of nursing. The content of each chapter or section is centered on nursing, utilizing the nursing process to demonstrate holistic nursing.
