Features: The ancient Chinese literature cited in this dictionary is basically excerpted from the national unified junior and senior high school Chinese textbooks. When corresponding examples are provided in the texts, we also try to use familiar ancient Chinese materials for students, targeting their learning needs and facilitating comprehension. Closely linked to the actual teaching of ancient Chinese in middle schools, the dictionary selects nearly 4,000 single characters, covering all the ancient Chinese single characters required by the new curriculum standards for junior and senior high school Chinese. From the current ancient Chinese and classical poetry and prose in middle schools, 300 homophones with the same form in ancient and modern times and compound function words are selected, with special entries provided for their definitions, enhancing the practicality of the book. At the end of the dictionary, there is a table of common homophones in ancient Chinese and classical poetry and prose, a table of common ancient Chinese function words, knowledge of ancient Chinese function words, knowledge of ancient Chinese sentence patterns, and a selection of famous ancient Chinese quotes, all of which are convenient for students to consult and meet the diverse needs of users.
