Features: This code, under the administration of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Construction and Transportation and edited by the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, is a comprehensive revision of the original national standard "Code for Design of Outdoor Drainage" GBJ14-87 (1997 Edition). It was formulated based on the notice "Notice on Issuing the Plan for Formulation and Revision of National Engineering Construction Standards for the 2002-2003 Annual Plan" (Jianbiao [2003] 102) by the Ministry of Construction. The main technical revisions include: adding water resource utilization (including recycled water reuse and rainwater collection and utilization), terms and symbols, non-excavation technology, dual-pipe laying, settlement prevention, intercepting wells, cross-junctions of recycled water pipelines and drinking water pipelines, odor removal, biological denitrification and phosphorus removal, sequencing batch reactor (SBR), aeration biofilter, advanced wastewater treatment and reuse, sludge disposal, and monitoring and control. Adjustments have been made to the comprehensive runoff coefficient, pollutant production per person per day in domestic wastewater, spacing of inspection wells in straight pipe sections, and land treatment. Additions include the roughness coefficient of plastic pipes, energy-saving pumps, and oxidation ditch content. The double-layer sedimentation tank has been removed. In this code, provisions marked in bold are mandatory and must be strictly enforced.
