Features: China is currently in a period of rapid urbanization, and people have paid close attention to landscape environmental issues during the process of urban expansion and renewal. However, urban landscape design in China started relatively late, and urban landscape planning and management is even a weaker link. This book, through a comparative study of planning and design control systems and methods between China and developed countries, incorporates relevant knowledge from other disciplines to explore the construction of an urban landscape planning and control system suitable for China's national conditions. This aims to effectively control and guide the formation of urban landscapes during the planning and management process, addressing and alleviating common landscape issues such as cultural loss, identity crisis, and the phenomenon of "one city, one face" in urban areas. At the end of the book, an empirical analysis of urban landscape planning and management is conducted using examples such as Tianjin's traditional heritage areas, the Haihe Riverbanks, and the Wuda Dadao area. Additionally, combining the planning and management of Tianjin's Economic and Technological Development Zone, the concept of a "Management Guideline" is proposed as an attempt to implement urban landscape design control methods. The study of urban landscape planning and management mechanisms and methods is a relatively novel and complex topic, and this book represents a new achievement in this field, offering positive practical significance and reference value for urban planning and construction in rapidly developing regions.
