Technical Specification for Geotechnical Engineering Investigation (YS 5202-2004 J300-2004)

Author: Xi'an Survey and Design Research Institute of China Nonferrous Metals Industry
Publisher: China Planning Press
Publication Date: 2005-03-01
Features: During the revision process, the drafting group extensively solicited comments from survey, design, research, and teaching units across the national nonferrous metal and metallurgical industries. Special studies were conducted, and coordination was carried out with the revision of the National Standard "Code for Geological Engineering Survey." After multiple discussions and revisions, the document was finally reviewed and approved. This revision of the code adjusts its scope of application, the content of line engineering, and tailings and other industrial waste dump sites. It also adds terms, symbols, basic provisions, tailings and other industrial waste accumulation dams, exploration and testing, geophysical exploration, groundwater and soil/water corrosivity evaluation, geotechnical engineering analysis, and survey reports. After revision, the name of this code is "Technical Code for Geological Engineering Survey." The provisions marked in bold are mandatory and must be strictly implemented. The code is managed by the Standard Management Department of Nonferrous Metal Industry Engineering Construction of China, and the Xi'an Survey and Design Research Institute of China Nonferrous Metals Industry is responsible for the specific interpretation of the code. To improve the quality of the code, all units are requested to summarize experience conscientiously while implementing this code, combining practical engineering practices.
