Features: To promote the modernization of the housing industry, continuously improve the level and quality of housing construction, create a civilized living environment in the 21st century, and boost national economic growth, the Construction Ministry began implementing the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project in 1999. The National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project takes residential community construction as its carrier, implements the spirit of the "Notice of the State Council on Promoting the Sustainable Healthy Development of the Real Estate Market" (No. [2003] 18) and the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Promoting the Modernization of the Housing Industry and Improving Housing Quality" (No. [1999] 72), with the overall goal of advancing housing industrialization. Through the guidance of the demonstration project, it aims to improve the overall level of modernization in the housing industry and housing construction.
Residential building components refer to independent units with specified functions in residential buildings, composed of building materials, products, and accessories. The standardization and industrialization of residential building components are the foundation and key to the modernization of the housing industry. To ensure the effectiveness of the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project, the Construction Ministry Housing Industry Promotion Center began, in 2001, to select residential building components that align with national industrial policies and technological development directions nationwide. Experts were organized to conduct technical reviews of the submitted components according to the requirements of the "Implementation Outline of the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project" and the "Management Measures for the Performance Certification of Commercial Residential Buildings" issued by the Construction Ministry. This work is conducted twice a year, and the approved components are compiled into a publication. The 2005 edition of the "National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project Residential Building Components and Product Selection Guide" categorizes components into four systems: load-bearing and enclosure components (items), interior components (items), equipment components (items), and community support components (items).
To better guide the implementation units of the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project in understanding and mastering the characteristics and technical requirements of selected components (products), we invited some experts to provide technical evaluations on the development and trends of certain residential building components domestically and internationally, their applicable conditions and requirements, technical and economic feasibility, key technical points of application, and requirements.
This book, the "National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project Residential Building Components and Product Selection Guide 2005," is a tool for implementing the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project. Since its publication in 2002, it has been well-received by housing construction management, development, design, construction, property management, and other units and professionals nationwide, playing a significant reference role in the National Healthy Housing Demonstration Project and other types of residential construction.
