Features: To regulate the selection of materials and construction of exterior wall insulation systems, ensure engineering quality, and achieve energy-saving goals for buildings, the Ministry of Construction approved and released the industry standard "Technical Specification for Exterior Wall Insulation Systems" (JGJ144-2004) in January 2005. This specification clearly defines the performance requirements, design, construction, and inspection of four systems using expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards and the polystyrene granule cement-based insulation system for exterior wall insulation. The promulgation and implementation of this specification can, on one hand, guide the research and development of China's exterior insulation technology by drawing on mature international experience in exterior insulation; on the other hand, it can guide enterprises to produce and construct according to requirements, effectively controlling the quality of exterior wall insulation systems, promoting the healthy development of the exterior insulation industry, and thereby advancing the progress of building energy conservation in China. To support the implementation of the "Specification," this guide has been compiled to better assist engineering technicians and relevant management personnel in applying the standards and conducting engineering practices. In addition to providing detailed introductions to the five systems recommended in the "Specification," this guide also includes the on-site sprayed rigid polyurethane exterior wall insulation system, the rock wool exterior wall insulation system, the polystyrene granule cement-based bonded EPS board exterior wall insulation system, and the XPS board thin exterior wall insulation system. These additional systems aim to offer more options for engineering practice and better meet the needs of building energy conservation development. This book can serve as a reference for professionals in architectural design, construction, product development, and related fields.
