Stress redistribution and creep fracture in steel-concrete composite structures

Author: Chen Dekun
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-04-01
Features: This book is based on research supported by the Shanghai Municipal Higher Education Science and Technology Development Fund project. It references a series of domestic and international materials as well as the author's many years of research and new achievements. The basic content includes: fundamental theoretical knowledge of creep fracture in composite structures; the analysis and calculation of the spatiotemporal stress redistribution patterns of composite structures under sustained loads, as well as the analysis of creep fracture mechanisms and the discriminant criteria for delayed creep fracture. The book is divided into seven chapters. The features of this book are: in terms of content, it combines fundamental theory with applied research, and popularization with improvement. In terms of methodology, starting from an engineering application perspective, some simplifications are made, treating spatiotemporal problems as spatial or planar problems, and converting viscoelastic crack problems into linear elastic crack problems. In terms of techniques, unique processing is applied, using the Excel software of Office 2000 to calculate all results, including solving complex transcendental equation systems and performing inverse analysis to predict structural life. This book can serve as a teaching reference for senior undergraduate and graduate students; it can also be used as a reference for civil and structural engineering technical personnel and researchers in relevant fields of higher education.
