Publishing Date: 2006-09-01
Features: Since the publication of the "Training Materials for 600MW Thermal Power Generation Units" (a set of 5 volumes) compiled by the Electrical Engineering (Power) Society of Six Provinces and One City in East China in 2000, it has been widely welcomed by production personnel, workers, technical personnel, and management cadres of 600MW-class thermal power generation units for on-the-job training, in-service training, job transfer training, skill assessment, and continuing education. In light of the fact that 600MW units have become the preferred main units in the national power system and over 100 units have been put into grid operation, it has been decided to comprehensively revise this set of teaching materials to better meet the training needs of power production personnel, workers, technical personnel, and management cadres in their serious study and proficient mastery of the operation technology and performance characteristics of 600MW-class thermal power generation units under subcritical, supercritical, and ultra-supercritical pressures. This book is the "Thermal Automation" volume of the "Training Materials for 600MW Thermal Power Generation Units (Second Edition)". It is divided into three parts, 26 chapters, and 9 appendices, with the main content as follows:
Part 1: Automation of Modern Large-Scale Thermal Power Generation Units
Introduces an overview of the automation functions of modern large thermal power units, unit control of furnace, machine, and electricity, coordinated control system of unit units, boiler furnace safety monitoring system, sequence control system, data acquisition system, digital electro-hydraulic control system of steam turbines, and electro-hydraulic control system of feedwater pump steam turbines, steam turbine self-start-up system and bypass control system, steam turbine monitoring instruments and steam turbine emergency trip system, auxiliary production system and its control, setting and application of the entire plant closed-circuit industrial television system, planning and configuration of the plant-level real-time monitoring information system (SIS);
Part 2: Main Distributed Control Systems Applied in 600MW Units in China
Introduces distributed control systems, IndustrialITSymphony distributed control system, OVATION distributed control system, I/ASeries distributed control system, TELEPERM-XP distributed control system, HIAACS-5000M distributed control system, and XDPS-400 distributed control system;
Part 3: Thermal Control Application Technology Features of 600MW Units
Introduces the thermal control systems and their technical features of the 600MW units in Shidongkou Power Plant No. 2, Qinbei Power Plant, Yangzhou Power Plant Phase I, Beilun Power Plant Phase I, Tongte Power Plant, Zhenjiang Power Plant, Changshu Power Plant No. 2, and the 900MW unit of Gaogaoqiao Power Plant.
Each chapter of the book is followed by review questions. This book can serve as an ideal training material for production personnel, workers, technical personnel, and management cadres engaged in the installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair of thermal automation and control for subcritical, supercritical, and ultra-supercritical pressure 600MW-class thermal power generation units for on-the-job training, in-service training, job transfer training, skill assessment, and continuing education. It can also be used as a reference textbook for technical personnel, management cadres, and students of universities and colleges engaged in the work of 300–900MW thermal power generation units in thermal automation and control.
