Features: With the continuous deepening of urbanization, China's urbanization level has been improving. However, the current situation of small scale and backward facilities has not been fundamentally changed, and issues such as a lack of scientific planning and reasonable layout still exist. Therefore, it is particularly important for government departments to formulate appropriate policies for the water industry and waste treatment industry based on the development status of their regions and to supervise the implementation of these policies. This book is divided into eight chapters. Chapter 1 is the introduction, covering the current status and development history of urbanization, the water industry, and waste treatment infrastructure; Chapter 2 elaborates on government functions and their transformation; Chapters 3 to 5 respectively introduce the current urban infrastructure industry policies, national development strategies, industry development trends, and foreign experiences; Chapters 6 and 7 discuss the construction and implementation of new policies under the market economy conditions; Chapter 8 provides examples of the Dutch government's regulation of the water industry and waste treatment industry. For convenience of reading, the appendix also summarizes policy compilations and regulatory compilations.
