Potential Energy Atmospheric Reoxygenation Theory and Practice -- A New Step in Sewage Biological Treatment

Author: Chen Mingzhao

Publishing Date: 2006-05-01
Features: The potential energy atmospheric reoxygenation theory introduced in this book utilizes the potential energy generated by the head of low-head pumps, which is generally 10–15 meters (or the potential energy of natural rivers), in conjunction with the application of the double-membrane theory of atmospheric reoxygenation and the practice of atmospheric reoxygenation using biological rotating discs to treat wastewater. The book elaborates on the potential energy atmospheric reoxygenation theory in five chapters. Chapter 1: Introduction; Chapter 2: Basic Principles of Hydraulic Engineering; Chapter 3: Basic Principles of Environmental Science; Chapter 4: Potential Energy Atmospheric Reoxygenation Theory; Chapter 5: Industrial Application Examples. This book can serve as a reference for researchers in the field of environmental engineering and workers in environmental protection departments, as well as a teaching material for postgraduate students and reference material for undergraduate students.
The process equipment that achieves potential energy atmospheric reoxygenation is called the "Potential Energy Oxygenation Ecological Bed (Grass Patch)" and is an advanced improvement of the national patent "Anaerobic/Oxygenation Trickling Filter." The new patent is named "Potential Energy Oxygenation Ecological Bed." Its features include the ability to treat domestic wastewater (or polluted river or lake water) to regenerate it into Class III surface water or directly meet tap water standards, while significantly reducing direct operational costs to less than or equal to 0.15 yuan/m3 [electricity cost: 0.6 yuan/(kW·h)], with fully automatic control and no need for dedicated management. When potential energy is available in natural rivers, it can achieve Class III surface water or tap water standards automatically without any manual labor or operational costs.
