Features: Comparative study of Chinese and foreign cities. This book for the first time proposes the concepts of "Urban Cultural Capital" operation and "New Behavioral Culturalism in Cities," and is China's first academic monograph dedicated to researching urban image and the operation of "Urban Cultural Capital." The book conducts a systematic study of urban image theory and urban image construction practices worldwide since the 20th century. Starting from the practical significance of urban image construction, it analyzes the emergence and development of urban image theories in China and abroad through comparative research, demonstrating the social, economic, and cultural attributes of urban image in relation to "Urban Cultural Capital" and "New Behavioral Culturalism." It comprehensively argues the content and form of urban image construction from three levels: the conceptual system, behavioral system, and visual system. Creatively, it proposes methods and models for urban image positioning. Particularly, while conducting theoretical research, the book carries out extensive field investigations in cities, proposing an operational model for urban image construction and the operation of "Urban Cultural Capital." It offers a fresh perspective, innovative concepts, and novel operational approaches. The entire book forms a self-contained system, characterized by unique thinking patterns, distinct academic rigor, practicality, and scientificity. It is filled with dialectical thinking and innovative reflections, making it a valuable reference for urban management decision-makers, urban administrative personnel, researchers on urban economic and social issues, urban planners, consulting and planning companies, advertising agencies, and faculty and students at universities and colleges.
